Which Victorian Stereotype Are You?

How Victorian Are You?
Are you a 'civilized' person, suited to the Victorian period? I took this little quiz to find out how suited I'd be to live in the Victorian era. Didn't get time to finish it though but it was fun. Will complete it when I get some spare time. If you wanna check it out you can find it here. Oh, and I hope you like the music - and the crackles!

Period Drama Poll
I absolutely love period dramas! Especially the older ones (60s/70s-ish) The lovely costumes, the language, the old-fashioned ettiquette and decency. So as a matter of interest, how many of these BBC period dramas have you seen, if any?

Historical Re-Enactment
Anytime I've seen people doing historical enactments on tv it's always looked so much fun! I've always wished I could take part in something like that, you know, just re-enacting history - especially the Victorian, Tudor, Medieval, Elizabethan, Edwardian or Renaissance periods or eras. And if I were to decide to take part in such a pastime, which historical figure would I choose to be? Probably Lady Sarah Forbes Bonetta, a truly fascinating character who's intriguing life was most interesting.

Something Old.....
This old spindle was in the living room in a house I lived in for a while. (no not mine!) I absolutely loved this old spindle. I love old antiques and just old stuff in general. They always bring to mind a much simpler way of life. I wonder how many times this has been spun? I would have loved to have had a go on it, but I didn't want to touch it in case it fell apart!
Right at the bottom of the stairs in the hallway was this lovely old typewriter.
I believe it was probably Victorian. It was so stylish and quaint. Very pretty. This picture really doesn't do it justice. Would love to find one at an auction or car boot someday. Not to use of course, strictly ornamental! There's just something about old or antique things that I find fascinating - all that history. If objects could talk, I wonder what secrets this little treasure would divulge?
